4 Affirmations to Start Your Best Days

I can dare to imagine that we have all woken up on the wrong side of the bed at some point in our lives. Somedays you wake up golden and others days everything is off, wrong, aggravating even. So, this week let’s try to start our days with an affirmation.

What is an affirmation? The definition being the action or process of affirming something or being affirmed; emotional support or encouragement. When we say an affirmation we are confirming what we are saying and as we do that giving ourselves encouragement. I am not here to make sweeping statements about how affirmations will change your life but they can have a great impact on overcoming negative thoughts. Just like anything else, when we stick with it, we can see positive changes.

So how do you start your day with affirmations? When you wake up, before you even lift your head off your pillow, I want you to take a moment. Maybe get a good stretch in, bring a smile to your face and repeat an affirmation below. Picking any that sing to your heart.

Today I will be the best version of myself.

I breathe in what is best for me andI let go of what is not.

I am me and that is amazing.

I am absolutely enough.

Taking your time breathing in and as your breathe out repeating your affirmation. Try it for 3 rounds of breath, more if you’d like. You can say the affirmations out loud or to yourself. When you feel ready blink your eyes open and go about your day.
